The Cavaleros Group

The Cavaleros Group began in 1926, initially as a shopfitting company. By the early 1970’s it had grown into the largest shopfitting company in Southern Africa. The Cavaleros Shopfitting Group was sold in 1978 to a large publicly traded institution, however the company’s core business concentrated on property investment and development thereafter. Established in 1967 by the late Cosmas Cavaleros (Founder/Chairman), led by Penny Cavaleros (Chief Executive Officer) and Alexi Cavaleros (Head of International Acquisitions), The Cavaleros Group is one of the most respected members of the local and global property industry.
Over the years, The Cavaleros Group has assembled a local and international professional team comprising independent architects, quantity surveyors, engineers, town planners, attorneys and chartered accountants, all of whom are leaders in their own right in the property sector. A thorough due diligence is undertaken on each potential project by the team contributing to the Group’s unrivaled success. In addition, The Cavaleros Group has established strategic alliances and relationships with the leading property agents and institutions, as well as global property lenders to ensure we remain at the forefront of major developments in this industry in order to continually expand our investment portfolio.

Naletsana Primary School

The Cavaleros Group initiated and were the main donor for a school for underprivileged children in the Koedoeskop area situated in the Limpopo Province of South Africa. Late Former President, Nelson Mandela graced the Cavaleros Group with his presence and was the Guest of Honour at the inauguration of the new Naletsana Primary School.

Animal Conservation

The Cavaleros group has a profound commitment to animal conservation which emphasizes our values and operations, reflecting our entrenched care for the natural world. ST John’s Greek Orthodox Church

The Cavaleros Group undertook the full refurbishment of the St John’s Greek Orthodox Church and Hall in Germiston in memory of our precious and greatly loved late Chairman, Mr. Cosmas Cavaleros.

The purpose of the refurbishment was to ensure that the venue is sought after for any occasion which can accommodate circa 2 000 guests and in turn, the funds generated from the hiring out of the venue will be used for the community at large.
